Hallmarking Assurance
Certified Authenticity in Every Piece
At Lenora Diamonds, authenticity begins with assurance. That’s why all our gold jewelry pieces comply with the UK Hallmarking Act of 1973—a legal guarantee of purity and trust.
Hallmarking is the official process of independently testing and verifying the metal’s purity. Once verified, a hallmark is applied—ensuring your piece is not just stunning, but also genuinely certified.

“A hallmark is more than a stamp—it’s our promise of purity and trust.”
What’s Included in a UK Hallmark?
A full UK hallmark contains a set of marks that confirm the origin, purity, and testing location of the metal:
Sponsor’s Mark
The registered mark of the manufacturer or importer.
Fineness Mark
A number indicating the purity of the metal (e.g., 750 for 18ct gold).
Assay Office Mark
Identifies one of the four UK Assay Offices: London, Birmingham, Sheffield, or Edinburgh.
Legal Requirements
According to the UK Hallmarking Act 1973, hallmarking is legally required for any item made of:
- ✔ Gold over 1 gram
- ✔ Silver over 7.78 grams
- ✔ Platinum over 0.5 grams
- ✔ Palladium over 1 gram
These thresholds ensure that consumers receive accurately described and properly certified precious metal items.
Why It Matters?
The purity of precious metals can’t be judged by appearance alone. Hallmarking provides independent assurance and protects against fraud. At Lenora, we uphold these standards so your jewelry is as genuine as your moments.
Choose Lenora Diamonds for elegance, excellence—and hallmark-certified peace of mind.
